Outback Ridez — Refund & Returns Policy

Thank you for shopping with Outback Ridez. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies that you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
Change of Mind Returns
Outback Ridez does not generally accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for change of mind, including where a customer:

No longer wants the product.

Orders the incorrect product.

Selects an incompatible product despite compatibility information being available.

Changes their mind after purchasing.
-
Finds the product elsewhere at a different price.
Any change-of-mind return accepted by Outback Ridez is entirely at our discretion and does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
If we agree to a change-of-mind return, the product must be unused, uninstalled, undamaged, and returned with all original packaging, accessories, documentation, and proof of purchase. The customer will generally be responsible for return shipping costs.
Damaged or Faulty Products
If you believe your product arrived damaged or is faulty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at contact@outbackridez.com.
To properly assess your claim, we may request:

Your order number and proof of purchase.

Clear photographs of the product.

Clear photographs of the original packaging.

Photos or videos clearly demonstrating the reported fault or damage.

Details explaining when and how the issue occurred.

Any other information reasonably required to assess the claim.
Providing this information helps us determine the cause of the issue and the appropriate remedy.
We may also reasonably require the product to be returned for inspection before determining the outcome of a claim.
Where required by Australian Consumer Law, Outback Ridez will provide the appropriate remedy.
Damage After Delivery
Outback Ridez is not responsible for damage caused after delivery by circumstances such as:

Incorrect or improper installation.

Installation on an incompatible bike, controller, connector, or electrical system.

Incorrect wiring.
-
Modification, disassembly, cutting, rewiring, or alteration of the product.

Misuse or use outside the product's intended purpose.

Accidents, crashes, impact, water exposure, or improper storage.

Normal wear and tear.
These exclusions do not apply where doing so would exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Incorrect Items
If Outback Ridez sends you a product different from the product you ordered, please contact contact@outbackridez.comas soon as possible.
Please provide your order number and clear photographs of the product received.
Once the issue has been verified, we will provide an appropriate solution at no additional cost where required.
Non-Returnable Items
Unless required by Australian Consumer Law, we generally do not accept returns for:

Used or installed products.

Products that have been modified or altered.

Products damaged after delivery.
-
Products damaged through incorrect installation or misuse.

Products purchased incorrectly by the customer.

Clearance or final-sale products.
-
Products missing components, accessories, or packaging due to customer handling.
Installation & Compatibility
Many Outback Ridez products are designed for use with electric bikes and associated electrical systems.
Customers are responsible for checking product compatibility before purchasing and ensuring products are installed correctly.
Compatibility can vary between bike models, controllers, connectors, wiring configurations, and electrical systems.
If you are unsure whether a product is compatible with your bike, please contact us before purchasing or installing the product.
Installation should be performed by a suitably qualified person where appropriate.
Outback Ridez is not responsible for damage resulting from incorrect installation, incompatible equipment, unauthorised modifications, misuse, or other circumstances outside our control, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Return Process
Before returning any product, please:

Contact contact@outbackridez.com with your order number and details of the issue.

Provide any requested photos, videos, or other reasonable evidence.

Wait for return instructions before sending the product.

Package any approved return securely to prevent damage during transport.
Please do not send products back without first contacting us.
Once a returned product is received, it may be inspected and/or tested before the claim is finalised.
If a refund is approved, it will generally be returned to the original payment method. Processing times may depend on your bank or payment provider.
Shipping Costs
For voluntary change-of-mind returns that Outback Ridez agrees to accept, the customer is responsible for return shipping unless otherwise agreed.
For faulty, damaged, incorrect, or non-compliant products, shipping costs and remedies will be handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Fraudulent or Misleading Claims
Outback Ridez reserves the right to investigate claims where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, intentional damage, misuse, modification, or misleading information.
Providing false information or intentionally damaging a product does not create an entitlement to a refund or replacement.
This does not affect any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
